This website was launched on 3rd December 2004, with an initial beta version for a trial period of around six months to gauge public opinion of the idea.
The site was well taken and feedback was excellent, with the site featuring in Railways Illustrated as Website of the Month in early 2005, with the comments that it was a good yardstick for other lines to follow. The site was re launched in July 2005 to correspond with the 1st year of the engineering works and ran for two years before going on hiatus due to other commitments.
Version 3 which you see here is back for 2009, ready to promote, and tell the story of the Sudbury Line.
